Narrative:
Small transport X flew over sfo bay. TCA clearance received 3500. Had only sectional on board, no TCA chart (no requirement -- flight over sfo not expected). Were told to remain clear of sector 'a' of TCA. Knew from experience that 'a' to be center sector over sfo as depicted on TCA chart. When I wanted student to confirm, we found that the sectional does not list the sector description (a, B, C, etc). There is enough space and we think it might be useful to have it on the sectional as well. We confirmed sector 'a' with ATC. No problem. Print the sector numbers/letters on the sectionals.
