Narrative:
While taxiing to runway 8 at bur we were told to 'taxi to 15, hold short of 8'. We started to taxi and then ground said that we just passed the hold line. Neither I nor the first officer had been to bur in several months and had no prior knowledge the hold line had been moved. There was no NOTAM, no signs adjacent to taxiway, no information on the ATIS and no information on the 10-9 chart on the new unusual location of the hold line. The hold line to runway 8 is perpendicular. Hold line to runway 8 several hundred ft east of the taxiway where you turn to taxi across runway 8. The sun was partially blinding us, as it was setting, and apparently reflected off the taxiway obscuring the lines. We did notice many sets of obscured lines appearing to be lead in lines, gate markings, roadway markings, etc, but no hold short lines. After ground told us to stop because we had passed the hold short line, another airliner who was following us to the runway stated 'that he could not see any lines either, apparently because of the sun'. The unusual position of the hold short lines need to be marked better and documented. At sunset the new lines are impossible to see. A sign adjacent to taxiway or yellow flashing lights or even reflectors on the taxiway would help visibility. Also the airport diagram (10-9) chart should also note the position of the unusual placement of the hold lines.

Title: FLC OF MLG ALLEGEDLY OVERRAN TAXIWAY HOLD LINE AT BUR.
Narrative: WHILE TAXIING TO RWY 8 AT BUR WE WERE TOLD TO 'TAXI TO 15, HOLD SHORT OF 8'. WE STARTED TO TAXI AND THEN GND SAID THAT WE JUST PASSED THE HOLD LINE. NEITHER I NOR THE FO HAD BEEN TO BUR IN SEVERAL MONTHS AND HAD NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE THE HOLD LINE HAD BEEN MOVED. THERE WAS NO NOTAM, NO SIGNS ADJACENT TO TAXIWAY, NO INFO ON THE ATIS AND NO INFO ON THE 10-9 CHART ON THE NEW UNUSUAL LOCATION OF THE HOLD LINE. THE HOLD LINE TO RWY 8 IS PERPENDICULAR. HOLD LINE TO RWY 8 SEVERAL HUNDRED FT E OF THE TAXIWAY WHERE YOU TURN TO TAXI ACROSS RWY 8. AFTER GND TOLD US TO STOP BECAUSE WE HAD PASSED THE HOLD SHORT LINE, ANOTHER AIRLINER WHO WAS FOLLOWING US TO THE RWY STATED 'THAT HE COULD NOT SEE ANY LINES EITHER, APPARENTLY BECAUSE OF THE SUN'. THE UNUSUAL POS OF THE HOLD SHORT LINES NEED TO BE MARKED BETTER AND DOCUMENTED. AT SUNSET THE NEW LINES ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE. A SIGN ADJACENT TO TAXIWAY OR YELLOW FLASHING LIGHTS OR EVEN REFLECTORS ON THE TAXIWAY WOULD HELP VISIBILITY. ALSO THE ARPT DIAGRAM (10-9) CHART SHOULD ALSO NOTE THE POS OF THE UNUSUAL PLACEMENT OF THE HOLD LINES.
