Narrative:
Upon contacting gri tower inbound I didn't give my position from airport. Tower then asked for my position, I then declared my position to gri tower. I was cleared to enter right downwind by gri tower. I then verified for right traffic for runway 35. There was no more contact with the tower until after landing. Upon entering the FBO the tower contacted me about landing without clearance. I was informed by the tower that I should have declared downwind, base, and final as if I were landing in an uncontrolled airport. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states he announced established on downwind, expected clearance but did not receive any communication at all. No follow up action except with instructor who has worked on communication procedure with reporter.
