Narrative:
Cleared to cross 50 mi southwest of bebop (first chkpoint) at and maintain 350. During original clearance, we requested to be able to cross at 75 mi, controller advised unable due to loss of radar coverage. At 50 mi, we were out of 340 climbing but climb performance and airspeed deteriorated to the point that it took another 30 mi to reach 350. At that point we were challenged by controller of original crossing clearance. We reported out of 330 at 35 mi and in our judgement we could comply.
