Narrative:
On a descent into chicago ord we received a TA followed shortly thereafter by an RA which commanded a descent for traffic. The traffic appeared on the TCASII as 300 ft above our altitude of 11000 ft. We descended to 10600 ft when the RA command ended. When we started our descent we called ATC to notify them of our descent due to a TCASII command. When the command ended we proceeded to climb back to our assigned altitude of 11000 ft.
