Narrative:
I took off from a field just southeast of alliance airport at about am. The winds took the balloon southwest during the flight. After 1/2 hour I decided to land. I set up on a descent to land directly after a tree. While descending, the balloon dropped at a rate faster than anticipated, when I landed at about am the balloon dragged about 50 yards. When it stopped the envelope laid over a light pole. I disconnected the envelope from the basket. The winds were blowing the envelope around the pole. At the base of the pole was several pieces of corrugated steel which put several holes and minor rips into the balloon making her unairworthy.
