Narrative:
Training in progress on sector 26 radar position. Sector 26 is the meter/arrival sector for the byson gate at den. Den had snow with up to 20 min delays. Aircraft 1 was descended to FL200 in holding and told to hold his outbound heading in the holding pattern. Aircraft 2 was 10 min in trail. Descended to FL200 to hold his outbound heading. Aircraft 1 was cleared to den via left turn to intercept the den 213 radial, descend and maintain FL170. As aircraft 1 turned and did not descend right away, he came in conflict with aircraft 2 still holding the outbound heading. Denver ARTCC has a computer identification that puts a 5 mi ring around an aircraft. The ring was on aircraft #1 insight. Conflict alert did not activate nor did the error detection program. The supervisor was behind the controller and saw the situation. I asked the supervisor if I had a deal and he said no, since the error detection did not go off. Since the supervisor was aware of the situation and saw the situation, I felt no actual error occurred. Now on 11/mon/91 I understand that quality assurance at den ARTCC is investigating the situation.

Title: ACFT BEING VECTORED OUT OF HOLDING PATTERN HAS LTSS WITH ANOTHER ACFT HOLDING. TRAINING IN PROGRESS CTLR.
Narrative: TRAINING IN PROGRESS ON SECTOR 26 RADAR POS. SECTOR 26 IS THE METER/ARR SECTOR FOR THE BYSON GATE AT DEN. DEN HAD SNOW WITH UP TO 20 MIN DELAYS. ACFT 1 WAS DSNDED TO FL200 IN HOLDING AND TOLD TO HOLD HIS OUTBOUND HDG IN THE HOLDING PATTERN. ACFT 2 WAS 10 MIN IN TRAIL. DSNDED TO FL200 TO HOLD HIS OUTBOUND HDG. ACFT 1 WAS CLRED TO DEN VIA L TURN TO INTERCEPT THE DEN 213 RADIAL, DSND AND MAINTAIN FL170. AS ACFT 1 TURNED AND DID NOT DSND R AWAY, HE CAME IN CONFLICT WITH ACFT 2 STILL HOLDING THE OUTBOUND HDG. DENVER ARTCC HAS A COMPUTER ID THAT PUTS A 5 MI RING AROUND AN ACFT. THE RING WAS ON ACFT #1 INSIGHT. CONFLICT ALERT DID NOT ACTIVATE NOR DID THE ERROR DETECTION PROGRAM. THE SUPVR WAS BEHIND THE CTLR AND SAW THE SITUATION. I ASKED THE SUPVR IF I HAD A DEAL AND HE SAID NO, SINCE THE ERROR DETECTION DID NOT GO OFF. SINCE THE SUPVR WAS AWARE OF THE SITUATION AND SAW THE SITUATION, I FELT NO ACTUAL ERROR OCCURRED. NOW ON 11/MON/91 I UNDERSTAND THAT QUALITY ASSURANCE AT DEN ARTCC IS INVESTIGATING THE SITUATION.
