Narrative:
After contacting gulfport departure, I had a complete alternator failure and requested to turn off all radios except a communication. Apparently the push to talk switch stuck on my last transmission. I noticed that we were not receiving and even adjusted squelch to obtain reception. I was not aware the microphone was stuck for about 20 mins. After clearing the gulfport area all radios were turned off.
