Narrative:
On climb out from microphone (crystal) primer commenced intermittent fuel leak which ceased upon an adjustment, then reoccurred, causing distraction while corrective action being taken. While airspace incursion is not known, it is possible, although both current VFR charts were in pilot's possession. Primer leak was corrected for duration of cruise at altitude, but commenced again as descent to apa, co, was effected, again causing concern and distraction, resulting in possible class B airspace incursion, although this is not known. Again, both current VFR charts for area were available.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: A T6 PLT DISTR WITH A FUEL PRIMER PROB, VIOLATED CLASS B AIRSPACE, DEPARTING MIC AND ARRIVING APA.
Narrative: ON CLBOUT FROM MIC (CRYSTAL) PRIMER COMMENCED INTERMITTENT FUEL LEAK WHICH CEASED UPON AN ADJUSTMENT, THEN REOCCURRED, CAUSING DISTR WHILE CORRECTIVE ACTION BEING TAKEN. WHILE AIRSPACE INCURSION IS NOT KNOWN, IT IS POSSIBLE, ALTHOUGH BOTH CURRENT VFR CHARTS WERE IN PLT'S POSSESSION. PRIMER LEAK WAS CORRECTED FOR DURATION OF CRUISE AT ALT, BUT COMMENCED AGAIN AS DSCNT TO APA, CO, WAS EFFECTED, AGAIN CAUSING CONCERN AND DISTR, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE CLASS B AIRSPACE INCURSION, ALTHOUGH THIS IS NOT KNOWN. AGAIN, BOTH CURRENT VFR CHARTS FOR AREA WERE AVAILABLE.
