Narrative:
I received a clearance from sarasota clearance as follows: fly heading 090. Remain VFR at or below 1600. Departure frequency 119.65. Squawk XXXX. I departed runway 14. I flew runway heading to approximately 500 ft and turned to 090 and continued climbing. I was told to switch from sarasota (120.1) to tampa approach (119.65). After changing frequency I waited for another aircraft's transmission to end and tampa asked if I was on frequency. He then asked what my last altitude and heading assigned were. And I told him. To the best of my knowledge I maintained each assigned altitude. It is hard to recall because this portion of the flight stands out in my mind no more than any other portion. It was a 4.8 hour flight. Each controller was courteous, and at no time was I informed that I had violated or was on the wrong altitude. I do recall being southwest of my on course chkpoint (a small rectangular lake and 2 stacks). I was on tampa approach frequency (119.54) at this time and the controller told me to 'resume own navigation.' I turned left to obtain the srq 042 radial. At bout this point a controller asked me to climb VFR to 2500. I climbed and reported that I would be unable to maintain VFR at 2500 (due to the scattered clouds). At some point near lakeland I was in contact with tampa approach. I would like to add that I did not fly to the left (west) of my course during that portion of the flight. I also did not go above 2500. The floor of the TCA in that area is between 3000-6000. Also, the evening of the flight my flight instructor placed a telephone call to a mr X, supervisor at tampa approach. Mr X advised us that no paperwork was in process and no controller had knowledge of a violation by me. He stated that I would have likely been notified at the time of any violation.

Title: ALLEGED OR IMPLIED PLT PENETRATED TCA.
Narrative: I RECEIVED A CLRNC FROM SARASOTA CLRNC AS FOLLOWS: FLY HDG 090. REMAIN VFR AT OR BELOW 1600. DEP FREQ 119.65. SQUAWK XXXX. I DEPARTED RWY 14. I FLEW RWY HDG TO APPROX 500 FT AND TURNED TO 090 AND CONTINUED CLBING. I WAS TOLD TO SWITCH FROM SARASOTA (120.1) TO TAMPA APCH (119.65). AFTER CHANGING FREQ I WAITED FOR ANOTHER ACFT'S XMISSION TO END AND TAMPA ASKED IF I WAS ON FREQ. HE THEN ASKED WHAT MY LAST ALT AND HDG ASSIGNED WERE. AND I TOLD HIM. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE I MAINTAINED EACH ASSIGNED ALT. IT IS HARD TO RECALL BECAUSE THIS PORTION OF THE FLT STANDS OUT IN MY MIND NO MORE THAN ANY OTHER PORTION. IT WAS A 4.8 HR FLT. EACH CTLR WAS COURTEOUS, AND AT NO TIME WAS I INFORMED THAT I HAD VIOLATED OR WAS ON THE WRONG ALT. I DO RECALL BEING SW OF MY ON COURSE CHKPOINT (A SMALL RECTANGULAR LAKE AND 2 STACKS). I WAS ON TAMPA APCH FREQ (119.54) AT THIS TIME AND THE CTLR TOLD ME TO 'RESUME OWN NAV.' I TURNED L TO OBTAIN THE SRQ 042 RADIAL. AT BOUT THIS POINT A CTLR ASKED ME TO CLB VFR TO 2500. I CLBED AND RPTED THAT I WOULD BE UNABLE TO MAINTAIN VFR AT 2500 (DUE TO THE SCATTERED CLOUDS). AT SOME POINT NEAR LAKELAND I WAS IN CONTACT WITH TAMPA APCH. I WOULD LIKE TO ADD THAT I DID NOT FLY TO THE L (W) OF MY COURSE DURING THAT PORTION OF THE FLT. I ALSO DID NOT GO ABOVE 2500. THE FLOOR OF THE TCA IN THAT AREA IS BTWN 3000-6000. ALSO, THE EVENING OF THE FLT MY FLT INSTRUCTOR PLACED A TELEPHONE CALL TO A MR X, SUPVR AT TAMPA APCH. MR X ADVISED US THAT NO PAPERWORK WAS IN PROCESS AND NO CTLR HAD KNOWLEDGE OF A VIOLATION BY ME. HE STATED THAT I WOULD HAVE LIKELY BEEN NOTIFIED AT THE TIME OF ANY VIOLATION.
