Narrative:
Apparent misunderstanding of flight level clearance from FL430 to FL410 south smelt intersection. On our next report (a change of controller from ny to mia) we reported FL410. New york selcaled and questioned this. We were using HF with new york. VFR with mia. Our flight plan called for 410. We understood we should be there. It was a misunderstanding with us and ny center.
