Narrative:

Cleared for profile descent runway 24 yyz. Crossed ywt VOR at 17000 ft MSL. Started descent to 11000 ft MSL at ywt and noticed too late that crossing restriction of 11000 ft and 250 KTS is based on 26 DME southwest of yyz. Originally interpreted chart to read 26 DME northwest of ywt. Didn't make crossing restriction. Center said nothing about deviation. Remedy: please rewrite profile descent chart in more of a readable format. Chart is very confusing as it is now written.
