Narrative:
While on approach to mci the #2 navigation and dem failed to give accurate reading in 'heavy' ice! Once the ice was off the aircraft, the DME and navigation starting functioning again.

Title: GA SMT HAD RADIO PROBLEMS IN HVY ICE.
Narrative: WHILE ON APCH TO MCI THE #2 NAV AND DEM FAILED TO GIVE ACCURATE READING IN 'HVY' ICE! ONCE THE ICE WAS OFF THE ACFT, THE DME AND NAV STARTING FUNCTIONING AGAIN.
