Narrative:

Flap airspeed limit exceeded. Late departure due to late aircraft delivery from maintenance. New route. Flight plan not preprogrammed into the computer. After takeoff a frequency change and vectoring occurred at the point when I made the call 'flaps-up, 2-BLEEDS climb-power.' this distraction interrupted the flow sequence of the first officer. 'After takeoff checks' was called and the first officer performed the after takeoff checklist silently per normal procedures. The flaps were a checklist item of the checklist. Later I discovered the flaps still at 5 degree, the takeoff setting. I wrote the aircraft up and had it inspected. There was no damage.
