Narrative:

Level at 3000 ft being vectored for visual at fll. Mia approach had given vectors around numerous VFR targets. ATC called VFR traffic 12 O'clock opposite direction 4(?) mi, and gave us left 20 degree turn around traffic. We did not have traffic in sight. On rolling out of turn I called traffic at 2 O'clock turning into us. We immediately descended to 2500 ft, traffic passed directly overhead. Supplemental information from acn 200596: the controller was not communicating. The light aircraft was operating VFR at approach altitudes in the normal approach pattern and probably never even saw us.
