Narrative:

First officer flying air carrier X level at 9000 ft passing over clt. Airport told to fly heading 360 for radar vectors for runway 18R. Received notice from TCASII to make an immediate climb because of aircraft approaching from below. I made an immediate climb to 9300 then realized the aircraft below us leveled at 8000. The aircraft that approached from below was air carrier Y, medium large transport which has an excessive climb rate at low altitudes, this can cause occasionally close TCASII alert problems for other aircraft.
