Narrative:
Due to baggage handler's not unloading our aircraft at tpa, we took off with an unknown to us, extra 1700 pounds of baggage. That made us exceed our maximum takeoff weight by 700 pounds. Our weight and balance did not reflect this extra weight. Tpa operations did not realize it until after we took off. We could not return to tpa due to being 10000 pounds over our maximum allow. Landing weight. Not a good day for our company. Do not know why we weren't unloaded at tpa.
