Narrative:
Due to fog, visibility from tower was restr. We were holding short of runway 6R. An air carrier was cleared for takeoff. We were air carrier X cleared into position and hold runway 6R and read back. Like all previous aircraft we expected to be cleared to 5000/050 on the heading before switched to departure control. Then tower came on and said 'air carrier X, maintain 5000, turn left 050, contact departure...break air carrier Y...runway 6R, cleared for takeoff' (in between we had spooled up and tried to confirm our takeoff clearance). Captain said, 'tower, air carrier X confirmed cleared for takeoff we are rolling runway 6R, 5000 and 250 on the heading.' after a short confused pause (we had to go, since he had cleared an air carrier Y for takeoff). Tower came on and said, 'air carrier Y cancel takeoff clearance hold short runway 6R.' by that time we were airborne ready to switch to departure and encountered partial radio failure on the captain's side. No further action was required.

Title: ACR X NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC INSTRUCTED TO HOLD IN POS MADE UNAUTH TKOF. PLTDEV.
Narrative: DUE TO FOG, VISIBILITY FROM TWR WAS RESTR. WE WERE HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 6R. AN ACR WAS CLRED FOR TKOF. WE WERE ACR X CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD RWY 6R AND READ BACK. LIKE ALL PREVIOUS ACFT WE EXPECTED TO BE CLRED TO 5000/050 ON THE HDG BEFORE SWITCHED TO DEP CTL. THEN TWR CAME ON AND SAID 'ACR X, MAINTAIN 5000, TURN L 050, CONTACT DEP...BREAK ACR Y...RWY 6R, CLRED FOR TKOF' (IN BTWN WE HAD SPOOLED UP AND TRIED TO CONFIRM OUR TKOF CLRNC). CAPT SAID, 'TWR, ACR X CONFIRMED CLRED FOR TKOF WE ARE ROLLING RWY 6R, 5000 AND 250 ON THE HDG.' AFTER A SHORT CONFUSED PAUSE (WE HAD TO GO, SINCE HE HAD CLRED AN ACR Y FOR TKOF). TWR CAME ON AND SAID, 'ACR Y CANCEL TKOF CLRNC HOLD SHORT RWY 6R.' BY THAT TIME WE WERE AIRBORNE READY TO SWITCH TO DEP AND ENCOUNTERED PARTIAL RADIO FAILURE ON THE CAPT'S SIDE. NO FURTHER ACTION WAS REQUIRED.
