Narrative:
While in the landing flare, fort lauderdale tower instructed to plan min time on runway, make first available right turn, taxiway C blocked. Captain applied reverse after touchdown to rapidly slow the airplane. Taxiway C was confused for B and we turned onto taxiway C. An airplane was holding short on taxiway C. We stopped, then taxied forward to clear the runway but so as to avoid the other airplane. Tower asked if we were clear and instructed us to contact ground. (We were clear of the runway and caused no problem for landing traffic.) the other aircraft turned about 180 degrees and we proceeded to the ramp after ground control had cleared us to do so. Urgency of quickly clearing the runway contributed to this occurrence. Also, darkness and fatigue contributed. This crew had been on duty 9 hours 15 mins and had completed 7 revenue legs at this point.

Title: TAXIWAY TRANSGRESSION WHEN PLT UNABLE TO ADHERE TO AN ATC CLRNC INSTRUCTION. POTENTIAL GND CONFLICT.
Narrative: WHILE IN THE LNDG FLARE, FORT LAUDERDALE TWR INSTRUCTED TO PLAN MIN TIME ON RWY, MAKE FIRST AVAILABLE R TURN, TAXIWAY C BLOCKED. CAPT APPLIED REVERSE AFTER TOUCHDOWN TO RAPIDLY SLOW THE AIRPLANE. TAXIWAY C WAS CONFUSED FOR B AND WE TURNED ONTO TAXIWAY C. AN AIRPLANE WAS HOLDING SHORT ON TAXIWAY C. WE STOPPED, THEN TAXIED FORWARD TO CLR THE RWY BUT SO AS TO AVOID THE OTHER AIRPLANE. TWR ASKED IF WE WERE CLR AND INSTRUCTED US TO CONTACT GND. (WE WERE CLR OF THE RWY AND CAUSED NO PROBLEM FOR LNDG TFC.) THE OTHER ACFT TURNED ABOUT 180 DEGS AND WE PROCEEDED TO THE RAMP AFTER GND CTL HAD CLRED US TO DO SO. URGENCY OF QUICKLY CLRING THE RWY CONTRIBUTED TO THIS OCCURRENCE. ALSO, DARKNESS AND FATIGUE CONTRIBUTED. THIS CREW HAD BEEN ON DUTY 9 HRS 15 MINS AND HAD COMPLETED 7 REVENUE LEGS AT THIS POINT.
