Narrative:
On approach to the air traffic area the tower says 'follow the small aircraft on downwind for runway 31..' so I turned downwind and proceeded. I didn't have the traffic in sight. The next call from the tower was, small aircraft X the other small aircraft has landed, take short base and clear to land. This whole time I was in the wrong place, just opposite of where I should have been. In actuality I was downwind for runway 13R. Having no call from the tower telling me I was in the wrong I figured I was doing the right thing and proceed to land. Instead of landing on the 13R runway I landed on the 13L because I heard left so thinking left I landed on the left runway. Taxiing to the taxiway I noticed another small aircraft Y taking off above me about 100 ft then I realized I was in the wrong. I had become confused with the runways and relied on the tower to direct me. I corrected myself later with reeducation with my instructor and I'm pending further FAA notice.

Narrative: ON APCH TO THE ATA THE TWR SAYS 'FOLLOW THE SMA ON DOWNWIND FOR RWY 31..' SO I TURNED DOWNWIND AND PROCEEDED. I DIDN'T HAVE THE TFC IN SIGHT. THE NEXT CALL FROM THE TWR WAS, SMA X THE OTHER SMA HAS LANDED, TAKE SHORT BASE AND CLR TO LAND. THIS WHOLE TIME I WAS IN THE WRONG PLACE, JUST OPPOSITE OF WHERE I SHOULD HAVE BEEN. IN ACTUALITY I WAS DOWNWIND FOR RWY 13R. HAVING NO CALL FROM THE TWR TELLING ME I WAS IN THE WRONG I FIGURED I WAS DOING THE R THING AND PROCEED TO LAND. INSTEAD OF LNDG ON THE 13R RWY I LANDED ON THE 13L BECAUSE I HEARD L SO THINKING L I LANDED ON THE L RWY. TAXIING TO THE TAXIWAY I NOTICED ANOTHER SMA Y TAKING OFF ABOVE ME ABOUT 100 FT THEN I REALIZED I WAS IN THE WRONG. I HAD BECOME CONFUSED WITH THE RWYS AND RELIED ON THE TWR TO DIRECT ME. I CORRECTED MYSELF LATER WITH REEDUCATION WITH MY INSTRUCTOR AND I'M PENDING FURTHER FAA NOTICE.
