Narrative:
Working farmm sector at aurora center. Routine inbound sector problem until ord approach slowed us to 210 KTS. Now multiple vector problem to achieve required spacing and slow aircraft by ord boundary. Descended air carrier X to 110 thinking air carrier Y had been descended out of 110 for 090. Data blocking showed 080 interim. Possible solution to prevent problem. Advance warning on speed reductions which is not always possible. Allow us to change interims after ord has control of data block.
