Narrative:
At gate I heard unusual vibration followed by electricity dropping off the line (APU generator was in use). APU shutdown followed by APU fire warning. Emergency checklist was accomplished and passengers evacuate/evacuationed through the main exit since we were at the gate.

Title: MLG HAS APU FIRE WHILE AT GATE. SHUT DOWN, EVACUATED ACFT.
Narrative: AT GATE I HEARD UNUSUAL VIBRATION FOLLOWED BY ELECTRICITY DROPPING OFF THE LINE (APU GENERATOR WAS IN USE). APU SHUTDOWN FOLLOWED BY APU FIRE WARNING. EMER CHKLIST WAS ACCOMPLISHED AND PAXS EVACED THROUGH THE MAIN EXIT SINCE WE WERE AT THE GATE.
