Narrative:
Cross country: dxr/bid/dxr. Conditions -- marginal IFR; swift moving cold front making landing at danbury impossible. Landed in bridgeport. Could not receive ATIS or control tower. Circled; looked for traffic; when clear, landed. Unfortunately, opposite end of active. Low fuel; first experience in marginal conditions eliminated other options in my judgement at the time.

Narrative: XCOUNTRY: DXR/BID/DXR. CONDITIONS -- MARGINAL IFR; SWIFT MOVING COLD FRONT MAKING LNDG AT DANBURY IMPOSSIBLE. LANDED IN BRIDGEPORT. COULD NOT RECEIVE ATIS OR CTL TWR. CIRCLED; LOOKED FOR TFC; WHEN CLR, LANDED. UNFORTUNATELY, OPPOSITE END OF ACTIVE. LOW FUEL; FIRST EXPERIENCE IN MARGINAL CONDITIONS ELIMINATED OTHER OPTIONS IN MY JUDGEMENT AT THE TIME.
