Narrative:
Cross country: dxr/bid/dxr. Conditions -- marginal IFR; swift moving cold front making landing at danbury impossible. Landed in bridgeport. Could not receive ATIS or control tower. Circled; looked for traffic; when clear, landed. Unfortunately, opposite end of active. Low fuel; first experience in marginal conditions eliminated other options in my judgement at the time.
