Narrative:
Exhaust pipe fell off, passenger deplaned to clear runway and walked back to the ramp. No other planes in the area. Aborted takeoff, told tower I felt it was important clear the runway of debris as soon as possible so as not to interrupt any traffic. The controller told me not to do this anymore and I won't.

Title: AN SMA PLT ABORTED HIS TKOF WHEN HE LOST PART OF HIS EXHAUST PIPE. HIS PAX DEPLANED PICK UP THE PIECES.
Narrative: EXHAUST PIPE FELL OFF, PAX DEPLANED TO CLR RWY AND WALKED BACK TO THE RAMP. NO OTHER PLANES IN THE AREA. ABORTED TKOF, TOLD TWR I FELT IT WAS IMPORTANT CLR THE RWY OF DEBRIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO AS NOT TO INTERRUPT ANY TFC. THE CTLR TOLD ME NOT TO DO THIS ANYMORE AND I WON'T.
