Narrative:

After landing at bur, we were informed that we were high at budde intersection. (Budde is the final approach fix on ILS runway 8). During this approach, especially over van nuys, we were extremely busy watching for traffic and avoiding targets on the TCASII. In VFR conditions in this specific area, it seems absolutely critical to watch outside the cockpit rather than our ILS approach plate. Also, the point at which it's mandatory to be at 3000 ft seems to not be depicted specifically.

Title: AN MLG ACR ACFT WAS HIGH AT BUDDE INTXN GOING INTO BUR AS BOTH CREWMEN WERE LOOKING FOR THE TFC THAT GAVE THEM 'NUMEROUS' TCASII ALERTS.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG AT BUR, WE WERE INFORMED THAT WE WERE HIGH AT BUDDE INTXN. (BUDDE IS THE FINAL APCH FIX ON ILS RWY 8). DURING THIS APCH, ESPECIALLY OVER VAN NUYS, WE WERE EXTREMELY BUSY WATCHING FOR TFC AND AVOIDING TARGETS ON THE TCASII. IN VFR CONDITIONS IN THIS SPECIFIC AREA, IT SEEMS ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL TO WATCH OUTSIDE THE COCKPIT RATHER THAN OUR ILS APCH PLATE. ALSO, THE POINT AT WHICH IT'S MANDATORY TO BE AT 3000 FT SEEMS TO NOT BE DEPICTED SPECIFICALLY.
