Narrative:

Helicopter hovering beside runway caused me to lose control on landing. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information. Reporter stated in a telephone conversation that this incident happened during roll-out after a good landing. The aircraft was caught by the helicopter rotorwash causing the aircraft to go off the side of the runway and into a drainage ditch. The aircraft received minor damage to the propeller and one landing gear. He further stated that the FAA had been investigating this matter with him.

Title: PLT OF SMA ACFT LOSS CTL OF ACFT DURING THE LNDG ROLL AND WENT OFF THE SIDE OF THE RWY INTO A DITCH CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE ACFT.

Narrative: HELI HOVERING BESIDE RWY CAUSED ME TO LOSE CTL ON LNDG. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO. RPTR STATED IN A TELEPHONE CONVERSATION THAT THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED DURING ROLL-OUT AFTER A GOOD LNDG. THE ACFT WAS CAUGHT BY THE HELI ROTORWASH CAUSING THE ACFT TO GO OFF THE SIDE OF THE RWY AND INTO A DRAINAGE DITCH. THE ACFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE PROP AND ONE LNDG GEAR. HE FURTHER STATED THAT THE FAA HAD BEEN INVESTIGATING THIS MATTER WITH HIM.
