Narrative:
Before the flight from lnk to HSI was launched, a full briefing from columbus flight service was obtained. Conditions at HSI at the time of departure from lnk were IFR (600 ft overcast 3 SM visibility), by the time of arrival it was 400 ft overcast 2 1/2 SM. The only NOTAM received was for thin ice on the runway, braking action poor. In reality there was no braking action at all. As I was taxiing the aircraft onto the taxiway, a gust of wind forced the aircraft right main tire to leave the taxiway into the mud. Nothing was done to further movement, the engines were shut down, the aircraft was secured, then the aircraft was towed from the site to the ramp with no damage to the aircraft or other property.
