Narrative:

While level at 3000 ft, received pop-up RA in 12 0'clock position less than 2 mi. Complied with climb instruction. Cleared conflict however, this placed us in conflict with another air carrier who was intrail at 4000 ft 1/2 mi behind us. Subsequent conversation with approach controller revealed that the traffic which triggered my alert had not appeard on his radar.

Narrative: WHILE LEVEL AT 3000 FT, RECEIVED POP-UP RA IN 12 0'CLOCK POS LESS THAN 2 MI. COMPLIED WITH CLB INSTRUCTION. CLRED CONFLICT HOWEVER, THIS PLACED US IN CONFLICT WITH ANOTHER ACR WHO WAS INTRAIL AT 4000 FT 1/2 MI BEHIND US. SUBSEQUENT CONVERSATION WITH APCH CTLR REVEALED THAT THE TFC WHICH TRIGGERED MY ALERT HAD NOT APPEARD ON HIS RADAR.
