Narrative:
I was given taxi instructions to taxi to 14R from the ramp area. Taxiway G was used due to construction accessing all of taxiway a. We taxied down G and missed the turn to 14R. We ended up taxiing the full length of G to the postal ramp area where we were able to turn around and taxi back on G to 14R without further incident. There were a number of contributing factors that led up to the missing taxiway H to runway 14R. The question now is how to prevent these occurrences from happening again. One would be to turn off the taxi lights on G past H to the postal ramp when no one is using the ramp. Another would be to paint the yellow taxi line in an south type pattern. Maybe another solution would be to have red or yellow taxi lights on G past H. Finally a notation on the plate warning crews not to taxi past H on G.
