Narrative:
Pilot mistakenly flew through southern portion of restr space abc without contacting FSS on an EMS mission. Contact with center later revealed abc and xyz were active. At the time pilot flew through southern portion, approximately 4-5 mi. Solution: contacting FSS even when extremely busy in emergency conditions in order not to compromise safety. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information. Reporter stated that this flight was an interfacility flight with a critical patient on board.

Title: EMS HELI ENTER RESTRICTED AREA WITHOUT CONTACT.
Narrative: PLT MISTAKENLY FLEW THROUGH SOUTHERN PORTION OF RESTR SPACE ABC WITHOUT CONTACTING FSS ON AN EMS MISSION. CONTACT WITH CTR LATER REVEALED ABC AND XYZ WERE ACTIVE. AT THE TIME PLT FLEW THROUGH SOUTHERN PORTION, APPROX 4-5 MI. SOLUTION: CONTACTING FSS EVEN WHEN EXTREMELY BUSY IN EMER CONDITIONS IN ORDER NOT TO COMPROMISE SAFETY. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO. RPTR STATED THAT THIS FLT WAS AN INTERFAC FLT WITH A CRITICAL PATIENT ON BOARD.
