Narrative:

We departed clt and were handed over to jax center. We were given a radar vector to sav. About 14 NM from sav VOR we were given vectors toward the ILS 9 sav. There was a controller change so we explained to the new controller that we were on a vector for the ILS 9 sav. The new controller said she would give up vectors to the outer compass locator (mavis), we had a weak signal on the outer compass locator. We briefed the approach. I tuned my own navigation radio and selected 109.50 instead of 109.90 the first officer idented the frequency on his side but not mine. We were asked if we saw the airport. We said we saw the rotating beacon but still wanted vectors for the ILS 9 sav. At 2000-3000 ft jax center loses radar contact. She cleared us for the ILS and to call her on the ground. I was xchking my ADF for a better intercept angle than what she gave us. We passed through a small cloud and saw the runway at 11 O'clock position. We were high so I entered left downwind with a left turn back to line up with the runway, on final my course needle was centered. After landing I taxied to where the 2 runways intercept but found no intersection. Having thought I'd passed it, we taxied around the airport using the sav taxi chart. Upon not finding a terminal where it should have been, we concluded that we had landed at hunter aaf. We tried to contact center, tower, ground, operations and other frequencys but to no answer. There was no personnel around to help us. We decided to taxi back out and go to sav. We took off. At 2000-3000 ft we called jax center and told them we wanted vectors for the ILS 9 sav. Again the controller gave us a tight turn which put me high. We said we had the airport in sight and entered a left downwind to runway 27 and landed without incident.

Title: UNAUTHORIZED LNDG. WRONG ARPT LNDG. UNAUTHORIZED TKOF AFTER REALIZATION SINKS IN.

Narrative: WE DEPARTED CLT AND WERE HANDED OVER TO JAX CTR. WE WERE GIVEN A RADAR VECTOR TO SAV. ABOUT 14 NM FROM SAV VOR WE WERE GIVEN VECTORS TOWARD THE ILS 9 SAV. THERE WAS A CTLR CHANGE SO WE EXPLAINED TO THE NEW CTLR THAT WE WERE ON A VECTOR FOR THE ILS 9 SAV. THE NEW CTLR SAID SHE WOULD GIVE UP VECTORS TO THE OUTER COMPASS LOCATOR (MAVIS), WE HAD A WEAK SIGNAL ON THE OUTER COMPASS LOCATOR. WE BRIEFED THE APCH. I TUNED MY OWN NAV RADIO AND SELECTED 109.50 INSTEAD OF 109.90 THE FO IDENTED THE FREQ ON HIS SIDE BUT NOT MINE. WE WERE ASKED IF WE SAW THE ARPT. WE SAID WE SAW THE ROTATING BEACON BUT STILL WANTED VECTORS FOR THE ILS 9 SAV. AT 2000-3000 FT JAX CTR LOSES RADAR CONTACT. SHE CLRED US FOR THE ILS AND TO CALL HER ON THE GND. I WAS XCHKING MY ADF FOR A BETTER INTERCEPT ANGLE THAN WHAT SHE GAVE US. WE PASSED THROUGH A SMALL CLOUD AND SAW THE RWY AT 11 O'CLOCK POS. WE WERE HIGH SO I ENTERED L DOWNWIND WITH A L TURN BACK TO LINE UP WITH THE RWY, ON FINAL MY COURSE NEEDLE WAS CTRED. AFTER LNDG I TAXIED TO WHERE THE 2 RWYS INTERCEPT BUT FOUND NO INTXN. HAVING THOUGHT I'D PASSED IT, WE TAXIED AROUND THE ARPT USING THE SAV TAXI CHART. UPON NOT FINDING A TERMINAL WHERE IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN, WE CONCLUDED THAT WE HAD LANDED AT HUNTER AAF. WE TRIED TO CONTACT CTR, TWR, GND, OPS AND OTHER FREQS BUT TO NO ANSWER. THERE WAS NO PERSONNEL AROUND TO HELP US. WE DECIDED TO TAXI BACK OUT AND GO TO SAV. WE TOOK OFF. AT 2000-3000 FT WE CALLED JAX CTR AND TOLD THEM WE WANTED VECTORS FOR THE ILS 9 SAV. AGAIN THE CTLR GAVE US A TIGHT TURN WHICH PUT ME HIGH. WE SAID WE HAD THE ARPT IN SIGHT AND ENTERED A L DOWNWIND TO RWY 27 AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.
