Narrative:
Fuel starvation during flight. In excess of 1 hour fuel was in right tank before initial takeoff, left tank was empty. After precautionary landing at ca highway patrol academy (no aircraft damage nor damage to objects on ground) discovered fuel quick drain running. Enough fuel was lost to cause tank to run out. This could have been prevented by not relying on 1 system (tank) when another could have been available.
