Narrative:
On aug/xx/92 the pvd (radar scope) at sector 34, ZOA, went blank. It was as if it was just switched off. The scope still had high voltage and the associate position was still functional. The darc backup system was not functional. At the time of the incident there were 4 aircraft in the sector. 3 commercial passenger jets and 1 private turboprop. I worked off the adjacent sector's scope and 10-12 additional aircraft entered and departed the sector.

Title: ATC EQUIP PROBLEM RADAR SCOPE AND BACKUP DARC FAILED.
Narrative: ON AUG/XX/92 THE PVD (RADAR SCOPE) AT SECTOR 34, ZOA, WENT BLANK. IT WAS AS IF IT WAS JUST SWITCHED OFF. THE SCOPE STILL HAD HIGH VOLTAGE AND THE ASSOCIATE POS WAS STILL FUNCTIONAL.
