Narrative:

While at cruise at 1000 ft AGL, the engine quit. Changing fuel selector position, pumping the throttle, pumping the primer, all had no effect. The only landing spot was the paved road in front of the country club. The landing was made without incident. Investigation by a mechanic determined the fuel valve selector was 180 degrees off. The problem was corrected and the aircraft was flown out without incident.
