Narrative:
After takeoff from lax airport, received clearance to 13000 ft while passing through 1200 ft. At 1800 ft, while climbing at approximately 3000 ft per min, we were given an immediate level off to 2000 ft. Aircraft went to 2180 ft before it was leveled to 2000 ft. ATC stated that another aircraft was cleared to 2500 ft. A high wing small aircraft was then spotted at 9 O'clock approximately 1/4 mi away.

Title: A WDB HAD AN LTSS WITH AN SMA AFTER DEP AT LAX. THE INTRUDING SMA WAS TRANSITING THE AREA.
Narrative: AFTER TKOF FROM LAX ARPT, RECEIVED CLRNC TO 13000 FT WHILE PASSING THROUGH 1200 FT. AT 1800 FT, WHILE CLBING AT APPROX 3000 FT PER MIN, WE WERE GIVEN AN IMMEDIATE LEVEL OFF TO 2000 FT. ACFT WENT TO 2180 FT BEFORE IT WAS LEVELED TO 2000 FT. ATC STATED THAT ANOTHER ACFT WAS CLRED TO 2500 FT. A HIGH WING SMALL ACFT WAS THEN SPOTTED AT 9 O'CLOCK APPROX 1/4 MI AWAY.
