Narrative:
During a night flight, engine seized. It is felt at this time an oil pump failure occurred. There are 2 ad's on the oil pump of an engine, either or both to be accomplished during overhaul. Engine was 500 hours from tbo. I have done maintenance and inspections for the previous 2 yrs, but have not overhauled the engine. I feel engine failure was due to internal failure of engine and none of the maintenance or inspections which I performed would require service to the engine that would have caused this problem.
