Narrative:
Landing strip is in a canyon, 2500 ft long with 500 ft displaced threshold. Runways 6/24. Windsock at beginning of 24 was limp, failed to pick up windsock at end of 24. Air was very bumpy, so kept little extra power on during final to compensate. Landed at 90 KTS, 5-7 KTS faster than normal. Flare was longer than normal but not excessive. Rollout much longer than normal, plane ran off end of runway. After stopping saw that windsock at end of 24 showed a tailwind of approximately 10 KTS. To prevent recurrence: pick up both windsocks before deciding on runway and use runway that will have headwind during rollout.
