Narrative:
Bos center told us we have traffic at 10-11 O'clock at 12500 MSL 4 mi. We were at 13000 ft MSL at about 290 KTS. We didn't see the traffic, but he saw us. We were TCASII equipped, and the traffic showed up on TCASII at 300 ft below us at 11 O'clock at 2-3 mi, then we got a TCASII resolution to pull up at a rate of 2000 FPM to avoid a conflict. We climbed to an altitude of 13500 MSL before the 'clear of traffic' was given by TCASII, then we returned to our assigned altitude of 13000 ft MSL.
