Narrative:
I did a normal traffic pattern entry, downwind, base and final. Upon normal flaring with power to idle, the aircraft gained altitude rapidly caused by a strong wind gust. To avoid stalling, I corrected by pitching down and restarted flare when closer to the runway again. Due to rapid descent rate and low airspeed, the aircraft hit the runway with a firm to hard touchdown and bounced 3 times. I taxied to the ramp, parked the aircraft and inspected for damage and did not notice any damage.
