Narrative:
Missed NDB approach at ump. Approach then gave heading, altitude, and runway assignment for ILS at ind. I missed 1 communication because passenger was asking questions. Approach gave intercept heading, altitude, and approach clearance for ILS 23R. I tuned in 23L which I had overshot, then intercepted and tracked into a landing on 23L. I called approach on phone after landing and the supervisor was very nice. He didn't think his controller did anything wrong and I agree 100 percent. I was behind the aircraft and was not keeping up with situation. I should have flown the aircraft first and talked to passenger after we were on ground. Should have been better prepared for my altitude airport.
