Narrative:
While descending for an ILS approach to runway 27R at ord we received a TCASII RA to climb. The TCASII indicated an aircraft to our right and below us. The captain initiated a climb using the indicated reference on the vvi. As I attempted to locate the traffic and talk to approach about our RA, a second aircraft appeared on the TCASII display and we received a descend RA. This aircraft was above and to our left. At this point the captain again followed the TCASII vvi indications and started a descent. Approach also gave us a turn to the south away from the traffic above us. At this time the TCASII indicated we were clear of both conflicts. We were descending to 4000 ft when this occurred and our climb took us up to approximately 4800 ft prior to our second descent. ATC did not give us traffic information on either aircraft indicated on our TCASII display and indicated surprise when we had to maneuver.

Narrative: WHILE DSNDING FOR AN ILS APCH TO RWY 27R AT ORD WE RECEIVED A TCASII RA TO CLB. THE TCASII INDICATED AN ACFT TO OUR R AND BELOW US. THE CAPT INITIATED A CLB USING THE INDICATED REF ON THE VVI. AS I ATTEMPTED TO LOCATE THE TFC AND TALK TO APCH ABOUT OUR RA, A SECOND ACFT APPEARED ON THE TCASII DISPLAY AND WE RECEIVED A DSND RA. THIS ACFT WAS ABOVE AND TO OUR L. AT THIS POINT THE CAPT AGAIN FOLLOWED THE TCASII VVI INDICATIONS AND STARTED A DSCNT. APCH ALSO GAVE US A TURN TO THE S AWAY FROM THE TFC ABOVE US. AT THIS TIME THE TCASII INDICATED WE WERE CLR OF BOTH CONFLICTS. WE WERE DSNDING TO 4000 FT WHEN THIS OCCURRED AND OUR CLB TOOK US UP TO APPROX 4800 FT PRIOR TO OUR SECOND DSCNT. ATC DID NOT GIVE US TFC INFO ON EITHER ACFT INDICATED ON OUR TCASII DISPLAY AND INDICATED SURPRISE WHEN WE HAD TO MANEUVER.
