Narrative:

Normal operation through takeoff. After climb check complete and climbing through 4000 ft, heard bang from right #2 engine, with yaw. Checked oil pressure, dropping to zero, light transport was dropping to 75 degrees (flameout). After evaluating situation, we called cvg departure, told them we had engine failure and needed to return for landing. They misunderstood us and after a little explaining, they vectored us back with instructions to maintain 5000 ft and made us #1 for 18R at cvg. They said crash fire rescue was ready for us, and we had priority. Captain assumed control, as first officer went through engine shutdown checklist. Captain allowed altitude to get approximately 400 ft low. First officer brought this to captain's attention at the same time cvg departure told us to maintain 5000 ft. No conflict was apparent. Normal single engine approach (ILS 18R cvg) and landing were made, and we taxied back to gate with no further problems.
