Narrative:
I made the approach and landed on runway 10. I turned right on runway 16L and right on taxiway 'C' and was cleared to taxi to the ramp. At this time, I had a right quartering tailwind. As I was turning left onto taxiway 'P,' the wind caused the tail to swing around. I applied right brake and advanced the throttle on the left engine to stop the turn. The left engine failed to come up to power and the aircraft gndlooped and struck a large runway sign near the intersection of txwys 'C' and 'P.' the aircraft suffered damage to both propellers and the nose and tail. An incident report was filled out by the city of midland and sent to the lubbock, tx FSDO. In considering the events, I do not know what additional action I could have taken to avoid the incident. I feel the failure of the left engine to immediately come up to power was the main cause of the event.

Title: AN ATX PLT GNDLOOPED HIS TAIL-DRAGGING SMT AND HIT A TXWY SIGN IN HIGH WINDS.
Narrative: I MADE THE APCH AND LANDED ON RWY 10. I TURNED R ON RWY 16L AND R ON TXWY 'C' AND WAS CLRED TO TAXI TO THE RAMP. AT THIS TIME, I HAD A R QUARTERING TAILWIND. AS I WAS TURNING L ONTO TXWY 'P,' THE WIND CAUSED THE TAIL TO SWING AROUND. I APPLIED R BRAKE AND ADVANCED THE THROTTLE ON THE L ENG TO STOP THE TURN. THE L ENG FAILED TO COME UP TO PWR AND THE ACFT GNDLOOPED AND STRUCK A LARGE RWY SIGN NEAR THE INTXN OF TXWYS 'C' AND 'P.' THE ACFT SUFFERED DAMAGE TO BOTH PROPS AND THE NOSE AND TAIL. AN INCIDENT RPT WAS FILLED OUT BY THE CITY OF MIDLAND AND SENT TO THE LUBBOCK, TX FSDO. IN CONSIDERING THE EVENTS, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT ADDITIONAL ACTION I COULD HAVE TAKEN TO AVOID THE INCIDENT. I FEEL THE FAILURE OF THE L ENG TO IMMEDIATELY COME UP TO PWR WAS THE MAIN CAUSE OF THE EVENT.
