Narrative:
We inadvertently crossed runway 1 at vps while taxiing out to the end of runway 1 for takeoff. Supplemental information from acn 230522. The ground controller had cleared us to taxi to runway 01. No holding instructions were issued. I usually depart at the intersection when using runway 01; however, on this occasion other aircraft (2 fgt) were in line for the full length of runway 01, so I decided to line up behind them in sequence. At the time, I felt that lack of runway holding instructions implied clearance to cross runway 01-19. I crossed runway 01-19 without hesitation only to be asked by the tower if I realized I had crossed an active runway without a clearance. I then asked them if I had not been cleared for the entire taxi route and was told 'no'. After departure, we read the aim to refresh ourselves on the rule. Complacency, stress.

Title: AN MDT CREW TAXIED ACROSS AN ACTIVE RWY WITHOUT CLRNC. RWY INCURSION.
Narrative: WE INADVERTENTLY CROSSED RWY 1 AT VPS WHILE TAXIING OUT TO THE END OF RWY 1 FOR TKOF. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 230522. THE GND CTLR HAD CLRED US TO TAXI TO RWY 01. NO HOLDING INSTRUCTIONS WERE ISSUED. I USUALLY DEPART AT THE INTXN WHEN USING RWY 01; HOWEVER, ON THIS OCCASION OTHER ACFT (2 FGT) WERE IN LINE FOR THE FULL LENGTH OF RWY 01, SO I DECIDED TO LINE UP BEHIND THEM IN SEQUENCE. AT THE TIME, I FELT THAT LACK OF RWY HOLDING INSTRUCTIONS IMPLIED CLRNC TO CROSS RWY 01-19. I CROSSED RWY 01-19 WITHOUT HESITATION ONLY TO BE ASKED BY THE TWR IF I REALIZED I HAD CROSSED AN ACTIVE RWY WITHOUT A CLRNC. I THEN ASKED THEM IF I HAD NOT BEEN CLRED FOR THE ENTIRE TAXI RTE AND WAS TOLD 'NO'. AFTER DEPARTURE, WE READ THE AIM TO REFRESH OURSELVES ON THE RULE. COMPLACENCY, STRESS.
