Narrative:
While in cruise at FL310 the right engine lost all power. This was accompanied by a loud noise and some vibration while the engine spooled down. We verified engine failure, completed all appropriate checklists and advised ATC and requested a lower altitude. The cabin crew was notified and we began our initial descent into chs. All checklists and briefings were accomplished and a single engine approach and landing was completed at chs with emergency equipment standing by.
