Narrative:
While taxiing out we received ATC clearance which called for an immediate left turn after takeoff. Shortly after becoming airborne, just as left turn was initiated, the tower advised to make a right turn. After immediate commencement of that instruction we were then directed to proceed to ??? Beacon. Attempts to locate this navigational facility were futile, and inquiries to tower and/or departure control were met with further confusing instructions, as were requests for further information ignored. Frequency of NAVAID we were directed to was volunteered by an anonymous pilot in the blind. Company procedures of only having 1 set of charts on board did not assist in locating unexpected navigation fixes. Finally obtained radar vectors, which were within 10 degrees of the aircraft heading at that time. During the preceding period, primary effort was directed to keeping the aircraft in VMC conditions. Later in flight, an en route controller complained of our departure path and failure to comply with instructions. Language was a definite factor in this incident.

Title: HDG TRACK DEV WHEN ACR FLC UNABLE TO DETERMINE ATC CLRNC REQUIREMENTS REF HDG ON DEP.
Narrative: WHILE TAXIING OUT WE RECEIVED ATC CLRNC WHICH CALLED FOR AN IMMEDIATE L TURN AFTER TKOF. SHORTLY AFTER BECOMING AIRBORNE, JUST AS L TURN WAS INITIATED, THE TWR ADVISED TO MAKE A R TURN. AFTER IMMEDIATE COMMENCEMENT OF THAT INSTRUCTION WE WERE THEN DIRECTED TO PROCEED TO ??? BEACON. ATTEMPTS TO LOCATE THIS NAVIGATIONAL FACILITY WERE FUTILE, AND INQUIRIES TO TWR AND/OR DEP CTL WERE MET WITH FURTHER CONFUSING INSTRUCTIONS, AS WERE REQUESTS FOR FURTHER INFO IGNORED. FREQ OF NAVAID WE WERE DIRECTED TO WAS VOLUNTEERED BY AN ANONYMOUS PLT IN THE BLIND. COMPANY PROCS OF ONLY HAVING 1 SET OF CHARTS ON BOARD DID NOT ASSIST IN LOCATING UNEXPECTED NAV FIXES. FINALLY OBTAINED RADAR VECTORS, WHICH WERE WITHIN 10 DEGS OF THE ACFT HDG AT THAT TIME. DURING THE PRECEDING PERIOD, PRIMARY EFFORT WAS DIRECTED TO KEEPING THE ACFT IN VMC CONDITIONS. LATER IN FLT, AN ENRTE CTLR COMPLAINED OF OUR DEP PATH AND FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH INSTRUCTIONS. LANGUAGE WAS A DEFINITE FACTOR IN THIS INCIDENT.
