Narrative:
Flight atl-dca was 100 mi out at FL260 (assigned altitude). Aircraft climbing to FL250 opposite direction, gave us an RA and it said to climb. We climbed to FL266 and leveled off. Other aircraft opposite leveled FL250. We told center of the occurrence and went back to FL260. No conflict occurred. Center did not say anything about the deviation.
