Narrative:

An inadvertent landing at camp pendleton resulted from unfamiliarity with the area, during marginal VFR. Other contributors are oceanside is an uncontrolled airport. Therefore, intending to land at ocn, I was transmitting in the blind. This situation enhanced the illusion that camp pendleton was my airport of intended landing. There was nothing visual to indicate that this was camp pendleton, prior to landing, therefore I landed.

Narrative: AN INADVERTENT LNDG AT CAMP PENDLETON RESULTED FROM UNFAMILIARITY WITH THE AREA, DURING MARGINAL VFR. OTHER CONTRIBUTORS ARE OCEANSIDE IS AN UNCTLED ARPT. THEREFORE, INTENDING TO LAND AT OCN, I WAS XMITTING IN THE BLIND. THIS SIT ENHANCED THE ILLUSION THAT CAMP PENDLETON WAS MY ARPT OF INTENDED LNDG.
