Narrative:
Retarded engines to flight idle at top of descent. #1 engine lost all thrust and did not respond to throttle movement. #1 engine was shut down, an emergency declared and a diversion to cvg conducted. Landing was uneventful.

Title: ACR MLG'S #1 ENG REVERTS TO FLT IDLE POS WITHIN THE FUEL CTLR. FLC PERFORMS AN INFLT ENG SHUTDOWN.
Narrative: RETARDED ENGS TO FLT IDLE AT TOP OF DSCNT. #1 ENG LOST ALL THRUST AND DID NOT RESPOND TO THROTTLE MOVEMENT. #1 ENG WAS SHUT DOWN, AN EMER DECLARED AND A DIVERSION TO CVG CONDUCTED. LNDG WAS UNEVENTFUL.
