Narrative:
On the boids arrival into dfw, established on the bpr 108/20, 11000 ft, 300 KTS, TCASII alerted traffic 12 O'clock low, climbing. Prior to the RA, we established visual contact and initiated a necessary climbing left turn away from traffic. TCASII then commanded an RA of 'descend'/green arc 1800-2000 FPM. We maintained visual separation and began a descent. During this maneuver, regional approach instructed us to climb and TCASII reversed its RA to 'climb immediately.' we followed instructions and climbed to 11500 ft before the conflict was resolved. Opposite direction traffic passed off our right 1-2 mi, approximately 200 ft low, climbing.

Title: ALTDEV ALT EXCURSION IN FLC RESPONSE TO TCASII TA.
Narrative: ON THE BOIDS ARR INTO DFW, ESTABLISHED ON THE BPR 108/20, 11000 FT, 300 KTS, TCASII ALERTED TFC 12 O'CLOCK LOW, CLBING. PRIOR TO THE RA, WE ESTABLISHED VISUAL CONTACT AND INITIATED A NECESSARY CLBING L TURN AWAY FROM TFC. TCASII THEN COMMANDED AN RA OF 'DSND'/GREEN ARC 1800-2000 FPM. WE MAINTAINED VISUAL SEPARATION AND BEGAN A DSCNT. DURING THIS MANEUVER, REGIONAL APCH INSTRUCTED US TO CLB AND TCASII REVERSED ITS RA TO 'CLB IMMEDIATELY.' WE FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS AND CLBED TO 11500 FT BEFORE THE CONFLICT WAS RESOLVED. OPPOSITE DIRECTION TFC PASSED OFF OUR R 1-2 MI, APPROX 200 FT LOW, CLBING.
